The Good Doctor Season 6: Review, Plot, Spoilers, Ending Explained!
In the final episode of The Good Doctor’s sixth season in 2022, there were numerous cliffhangers.
In the most recent episode, Lea (played by Paige Spara) told Shaun (Freddie Highmore) that they were expecting a child together despite having Asherman’s syndrome, but the surprises for ABC viewers didn’t end there.
After Audrey made the decision to undergo surgery in an effort to reverse her paralysis, Clay demonstrated that he would be there for her no matter what happened by pulling out the ring.
While Audrey Clay got engaged and Shaun and Lea learned they were expecting a baby, another couple’s midseason relationship took a more ominous turn in the midseason finale.
The will-they-won’t-they romance between Danny Perez (Brandon Larracuente) and Jordan (Bria Henderson) was severely damaged when Perez relapsed prior to their scheduled first date.
Finally, he summoned some agonizingly reassuring words of support, telling Lea: “It’s okay.
Shaun took Lea in his arms and said, “You told me to picture what might be, let’s do that together.
The heartwarming scene instantly emerged as one of the most talked-about moments from the episode as many fans posted their responses on social media.
Meghan Markle alleges that the Royal Family subjected her to “being fed to the wolves.”
Strictly enthusiasts complain that the outcome of this year’s season is “clear.”
“Let her have a child with Shaun! Stop scaring us and her about your health! After his “last speech,” Strictly fans expressed concern for Will Mellor.
After his “last speech,” Strictly viewers were worried about Will Mellor. Molly Rainford ‘to beat’ Fleur East in the dance-off as his exit was made public.

Trauma alters a person’s life. It becomes into an imperceptible force that influences choices and rears its ugly head occasionally.
TV frequently fails to do it justice, but The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 8 did an excellent job.
In addition to pushing a patient to obtain a rape kit due to Morgan’s own suffering, Shaun acknowledged that Lim’s attack brought back memories of Steve’s passing.
The Good Doctor deserves praise for depicting trauma in a more accurate manner than the “flashy” storylines TV shows frequently opt for.
The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 8: “Clearing the Air”
That does not imply that I now like Morgan more than I ever have.
I finally realized why she was being so demanding when she explained what had happened to her, but for the majority of the hour, she continued to be her annoying self.
The victim of a sexual assault loses any sense of control over their own life, which is one of the most traumatic components of the assault.
Therefore, during the rape kit examination, the patient is repeatedly asked if they are alright with what is about to happen. With that, people regain some control because they are free to halt the intrusive examination whenever they want.
The hospital was trying to give Toni a sense of control, but Morgan was always pressuring her to do a rape kit. If she hadn’t asked Morgan to be taken out of her case, it might have contributed to her trauma.
Additionally, survivors might recuperate without reporting the rape. Some survivors experience a sense of closure, while others, for a variety of reasons, decide not to report.
The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 8: Lim Is Still Angry
For some reason, TV frequently perpetuates the fallacy that refusing to obtain a rape kit or report the rape is self-indulgent or detrimental.
In actuality, the survivor has the option of reporting the crime to the police or undergoing an invasive rape kit process.
Hospitals cannot inform law enforcement even after performing a rape kit without the patient’s permission, therefore these are two distinct problems.
Although it is possible that the rapist would commit rape again, the survivor is not accountable for that.
If a rapist commits another rape, they are the one who is accountable for those further offenses.
Survivors should never be made to feel guilty if they choose not to have a rape exam because there is no such thing as a duty to report in order to prevent other people from becoming victims.
The Good Doctor Season 6: “Morgan’s Trauma”
That card should not have been played by Morgan.
Putting that aside, she was more open, exposed, and sympathetic when she shared her experience than she had been during her six-year tenure.
She would have been sympathetic rather than obtrusive if she had started with that and let Toni to make her own decision as opposed to insisting Toni take the exam all the time.
The fact that Morgan has no female companions to whom she can open up about her struggles with this patient or anything else is equally troubling.
She had every right to choose not to disclose her attack until now, but even though it was clear that she was doing so, no one called her out on it.
The Good Doctor Season 6 Episode 8: Arguing Friends
Who would she have confided in even if she had wanted to? Her sole true friend, Claire, is no longer with her. The only individuals that resemble friends are Park and Glassman, neither of whom she would want to discuss such a sensitive topic with.
Because his patient might respond to her immobility in a similar way to Lim, Shaun decided against removing her uterus. However, there might have been more to this.
Asher: They want to start a family, but we would have to remove her uterus.
Shaun: If she’s dead, she won’t be able to have a child.
If she’s dead, she won’t be able to have a child.
Lea recently heard she wouldn’t be able to have children for a while, but there is a remote possibility that it would be safe at some point.
Anyone else think Lea’s predicament had something to do with Shaun’s reluctance to remove this woman’s uterus?
That would have been logical. Like Lea, the woman desired to conceive a child and begin a family, but she was no longer able to do so.
I wasn’t certain that Shaun’s conversation with Lim would be worthwhile. He kept getting in her way, so she would wheel aside or cut him off.
Although Lim had mixed feelings about her condition, Shaun’s non-apology was lovely and broke the ice enough for her to say she missed their companionship.
It would be great to put an end to this plot thread, especially since Glassman believes he spotted indications that Lim’s paralysis would be momentary.
This part of the story stretched on way too long; Lim’s persistent cold shoulder and wrath have been irritating.
Lim had already ruled out surgery because she preferred to accept her disability.
The Good Doctor, Season 6: “Practicing Their Skills”
The will-they-won’t-they tango between Perez and Jordan must also come to an end. Jordan had established a limit, and I was proud of him. She didn’t want to, and there was no reason why she should, live in uncertainty.
Then Perez did something inappropriate for an episode that dealt with sexual assault sensitively: he kissed Jordan without asking if she wanted him to.
Kissing someone who hasn’t expressed any interest in being kissed is a cliché that has to be abandoned. It lacks romance. A form of sexual assault, it is.
It will now cause even greater misunderstanding. Perez is unsure of his readiness for a relationship. Jordan was departing to go on a date with another person. We have now returned to the impasse she was seeking to escape.
The Good Doctor will only have one more new episode in 2022, but you can watch it whenever you want online.
The dramatic season five finale of The Good Doctor sent viewers on an emotional rollercoaster as the happiness of seeing Dr. Shaun Murphy and Lea Dilallo wed was replaced by a terrifying tragedy that put two key characters in danger of passing away.
The violent ex-boyfriend of Nurse Villanueva, Owen, was depicted in “Sons” sneaking into St. Bonaventure Hospital as a delivery guy to knife his ex and leave her for dead.
When Dr. Audrey Lim (Christina Chang) turned back after finding Villanueva (Elfina Luk) seriously hurt, she was met by Owen, who stabbed her twice in the abdomen before fleeing.
The Good Doctor Season 6: Production
Executive producer David Shore told TVLine that as the show enters its summer holiday, viewers should be worried about what might happen after that incredibly cliffhanging scene, with the lives of both characters now hanging in the balance.
I’m hoping they’re concerned. He jokingly said, “That’s the whole purpose. “We don’t engage in any meaningless activity. We want to make sure that every narrative is important as authors. That does not imply that we will lose her. I adore her. However, difficulties lie ahead.
By stating that she had been “enthusiastic about it” and that it had been “a lot of joy to see her” act out the dramatic sequences, Shore acknowledged that Chang, the actress, was aware of the twist in advance.
She is such a strong character, and it would be interesting to challenge her physically, he said. “Challenging our characters and presenting them with challenges they’re unsure they can overcome is part of the appeal of most of our stories, in a sense.
The Good Doctor Season 6: Cast
“Life presents us with a variety of difficulties for each of us. The real measure of our character is how we react to them, he said.
There will undoubtedly be many inquiries about what might happen to Lim and the other characters of the program after that game-changing climax, especially since the Good Doctor team has already begun filming the episodes for season six.
Additionally, Shore hinted that the season six debut will feature “a big amount of intensity and pleasure.”
It’s challenging since it’s the direct result of the finale, he said. We have some lovely things in store for Glassman (Richard Schiff), a significant role for Lim’s adventure, and, of course, nothing but happiness for Shaun (Freddie Highmore) and Lea (Paige Spara).
In addition to confirming that there will be a time gap between seasons five and six, Shore assured viewers that Shaun will face fresh difficulties now that he is a licensed attending physician.
“You will see the burden [he takes on now] very early into season 6,” he remarked. He has demonstrated his ability to direct an operation, but it is a technical skill.
When there isn’t someone standing behind him to make the final choice, there are emotional and interpersonal issues that come along with it that are more difficult.
Being an attending differs from being a senior resident in ways Shaun may not have expected. He will face immediate challenges in his new position as supervisor. He is married, of course. That is distinct as well.
