The World Wrestling Entertainment (2002–2004)
In 2001, Jason Sensation introduced Kim to Nora Greenwald, who worked for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and was known on-screen as Molly Holly. Greenwald told Kim to send her videos and tapes to WWF officials.
In October 2002, the WWF, which is now called World Wrestling Entertainment, hired her (WWE).
Before she was put on their main roster, she trained for eight months in their then-developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where she did house shows and dark matches.
After a few weeks of Raw skits with Matrix-like effects, Kim made her debut on June 30 as a fan favorite in an outfit from the movie.
On the June 30, 2003 episode of Raw, the WWE Women’s Championship, which Jazz held at the time but was hurt, was at stake in a seven-woman battle royal. This was her first WWE match shown on TV.
Kim won the match by getting rid of Victoria in the end. Kim had the title for four weeks, and she defended it once against Molly Holly. On the July 28 episode of Raw, Holly beat Kim and took the title away. The next week, Kim turned bad on Trish Stratus. This was because on a previous episode of Raw, Stratus cost Kim and herself a tag match against Victoria and Holly. Kim then teamed up with Holly to fight Stratus, beating her and different partners several times until Lita came to help Stratus. Kim and Holly lost to Stratus and Lita in a tag team match at WWE’s Unforgiven pay-per-view event on September 21. The four women kept fighting until November, when Kim broke her right collarbone and had to take a break.
When Kim went back to Raw in April 2004, she and Holly started working together again right away.
In May 2004, Kim beat then-Champion Women’s Victoria twice, in a singles match and a six-woman tag match. This gave her a shot at the title at Bad Blood. But on the June 7 episode of Raw, Lita pinned Kim, and Lita and Trish Stratus were added to the title match. At Bad Blood on June 13, she wrestled Lita, Stratus, and Victoria in a Fatal Four-Way match for the WWE Women’s Championship. Stratus won the match, but Lita, Stratus, and Victoria all got hurt.
Kim took part in a battle royal at Taboo Tuesday on October 19. Stratus won the battle. Kim, on the other hand, was let go by WWE on November 3, 2004, because the company was trying to save money. Kim was surprised when she was let go, and management told her that they wanted to change the direction of the women’s division.
Kim made sporadic appearances on the independent circuit, including at Michigan’s All World Wrestling League and in Japan, after she was fired from WWE and her 90-day no-compete clause ended.
Before she was signed by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) on September 6, 2005, she also wrestled in Korea and Mexico. She made her TNA debut on the October 8, 2005 episode of TNA Impact!. She joined Jeff Jarrett and America’s Most Wanted (AMW) (Chris Harris and James Storm) and became their manager. She was often in the ring with the wrestlers when they were fighting. On July 16, 2006, at TNA’s Victory Road pay-per-view, Kim made her ring debut with AMW in a Six-Man Mixed Tag Team match against A.J. Styles, Christopher Daniels, and Sirelda. But in the end, her team came in last in the competition. On August 13, Kim beat Sirelda in a singles match at Hard Justice.
After AMW broke up at the beginning of 2007, Kim became a more active wrestler in TNA. This started with a fight between her former partner James Storm and his new manager Jacqueline. The first time the group met was on February 11 at Against All Odds. Kim and Petey Williams were part of a mixed tag team that lost. At Destination X on March 11, Storm and Jacqueline beat Kim and Williams again in a Double Bullrope match. On April 15 at Lockdown, Kim beat Jacqueline in a Six Sides of Steel cage match.
