The Course for Computer Concepts exam or CCC exam is conducted for candidates wishing for a computer course certificate. The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology conduct the exam every year across the country. Moreover, the application Form for the CCC exam is available from November. About CCC Course

CCC Exam Pattern
The exam is Computer Based Test. It is an online exam and has objective type questions. After completing the 80 hours of coursework, candidates need to appear for the exam. The exam will test their digital progress and declare them fit or unfit for the certification. A candidate scoring well in the exam will be able to obtain the CCC certification from NIELIT. The total duration of the exam is of one hour. Moreover, there is no negative marking for the exam. A candidate needs to answer 100 questions in one hour. Further, the total marks awarded for the exam is 100.
Qualifying marks
The qualifying marks set for the CCC exam is 50%. Candidates scoring above 50% will be able to get their certification. Thus, candidates who score below 50% will need to appear for the exam again. After a recent change, candidates get their results in the form of a grade. So, marks are no longer mentioned. But, according to the grades, candidates need to score at least a ‘D’ to qualify for the exam. Here is a breakdown of the grades and their percentage.
- 50 to 54% – D
- 55 to 64% – C
- 65 to 74% – B
- 75 to 84% – A
- More than 85% – S
Thus, to pass the exam, candidates need to answer 50 questions correctly.

CCC Exam Syllabus
There is a total of eight chapters that form the syllabus for the CCC exam. Introduction to computer and GUI based Operating Systems forms a major part of the syllabus. Apart from that, candidates are also tested on their knowledge of Elements of word processing and spreadsheets. Also, Introduction to the internet, web browsers, WWW, communication, and collaboration are some other important areas. Applications of presentation and application of financial services digitally is also a part of the syllabus.

All the courses have a separate duration during the tutorial and practical. Further, among the practical hours, 10 hours is kept separate for the spreadsheets. Eligibility criteria for CCC Course
There are no written or official rules for candidates who wish to appear for the CCC exam. Any candidate can apply for the exam irrespective of his/her educational qualification or age. However, candidates can apply for the exam through three modes. There are different criteria for eligibility for all three modes. Here are the criteria for all modes:
- NIELIT sponsors candidates of certain universities. These candidates can apply directly without the constraints of educational qualifications.
- Any candidate whom the Government sponsors through recognized schools and colleges can appear for the CCC exam irrespective of qualification. Such candidates get a unique identity number for joining the CCC program.
- Direct candidates are also eligible to apply irrespective of any educational qualification. Such candidates don’t need sponsorships from the Government recognized schools or colleges.
CCC Application form
To appear for the CCC exam, candidates need to fill the application form. The forms are available on the official NIELIT website, and candidates can search for the same. After registering on the site with the help of an email ID and password, candidates can proceed to fill the details. They need a personal mobile no. at the application form filling time. Also, candidates need to provide a passport-sized photograph, scanned image of signature, and scanned image of left thumb impression. There are specific requirements for the necessary documents, and candidates must go through the same.
