The songs on previous summer playlists came from artists including Mitski, Mdou Moctar, Phoebe Bridger, Bad Bunny, Wye Oak, Arooj Aftab, and others. Together with Bruce Springsteen, the former president debuted a podcast on Spotify where they had frank conversations about a range of subjects. There are eight episodes in all, and Barack Obama and Bruce have even collaborated on a book based on their podcast chats.

Spotify’s media partnership with Barack and Michelle Obama recently came to an end. They currently have contracts with iHeartMedia and Amazon.
