Shane Clarke killed his wife by stabbing her 29 times with a screwdriver. He was also called “laughing killer.”
The person who killed Joanne Bishop used a Philips screwdriver to repeatedly stab her in the chest, leaving bruises around each wound. Clarke stabbed his wife and then left her on the floor to die.
He then told his friends that he wouldn’t be going to work as a joke and said, “Oops,” before calling 999 for help. When the other person answered the phone, he said in a chilling way that he had just stabbed his wife.
After he said that, he laughed out loud and told the operator that he thought she was dead. When he was arrested and sent to jail, he laughed hard again as he was led to the cells.
Where Is the Laughing Killer Shane Clarke Now?
Shane Clarke admitted that he killed his partner, so the judge at Oxford Crown Court gave him a life sentence in prison.
When police got to the house in Milton Keynes, they first arrested Clarke on suspicion of murder. When paramedics arrived and found the Bishop still alive, Clarke was arrested for murder.
The victim’s brain was hurt so badly that it couldn’t be fixed, and he or she died in the hospital four days after the attack, which happened on May 29. When the victim’s husband called 911, the suspect admitted that he had stabbed the victim’s wife.
A 52-year-old man was given a life sentence in prison for killing his 39-year-old partner, Joanne Bishop. Clarke is in prison for the rest of his life because he stabbed his partner 29 times.
Shane Clarke’s partner, Joanne Bishop, was killed when he stabbed her. Why did he do it?
Shane Clarke dated Joanne Bishop for more than six years, but their relationship got worse over time, so Shane killed her.
When the couple was fighting, Miss Bishop might have said something about their relationship and told Shane to leave her house. She was killed in her own home, in her own bed, because of how bad their relationship was.
On May 29 at 6 a.m., Joanne’s neighbor heard her screaming, but she didn’t go to her house right away. Later, her neighbors said they should have gone over there and could have helped her.
Reports shown in court said that their relationship had been rocky in the months before this crime, but the defense was sure that Miss Bishop was having an affair even though there was no proof.
Clarke was calm and collected when he admitted his crime, even though the way he had acted during the call was awful and unusual.
Shane Clarke’s Killer Husband Sentence: Is He Still in Jail?
Shane Clarke is still in jail because he killed his partner in a brutal way and was given a life sentence for it.
In the 1980s, Clarke was said to have lured a man to a park and cut his face with a cut-throat razor. He then spent twelve years in prison. He was arrested because he had been convicted of two crimes: assault that caused real bodily harm and drug possession.
Philip Evans QC, who defended Joanne Bishop in her murder case, said that drugs and alcohol had ruined Shane’s life as a father of two. He also wanted to say he was sorry for what he had done.
The murderer was from Buckingham Road, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, Bucks. He admitted to one count of murder, for which Judge Ian Pringle gave him a life sentence without parole.
