Fans accuse Taylor of protecting them by not putting Jasmine up for eviction from Big Brother
On August 14, 2022, in yet another dramatic Big Brother Season 24 episode, the remaining houseguests competed in the new Head of Household (HoH) competition, with fan favorite Taylor Hale winning. When the winner had to choose two contestants for eviction, what initially felt like a respite for Taylor and the viewers quickly turned into a mess.
Despite the fact that Jasmine was the most obvious choice for this week’s eviction, which was suggested to Taylor by viewers and members of the Leftovers alliance, the new HoH didn’t want to eliminate a fellow black woman. In contrast, she decided to put Terrance and Indy up for eviction.
However, Taylor’s decision was not well received by the public because Jasmine would have been a better target. According to viewers, Jasmine had been pitted against Taylor from the start and would have easily eliminated Taylor if she had been the HoH. A follower tweeted:

Taylor is omitting, in my opinion, the fact that Jasmine and Indy would dump her in an instant. Don’t defend them Taylor since you were never a part of the females’ alliance. Big Brother 24 is also known as BB24.

Taylor does not want to remove Jasmine from Big Brother
Before the reality of the responsibilities set in on this week’s Big Brother show, Taylor was still reveling in the success of winning the HoH competition. The celebrity had to vote out two other candidates on Thursday night, and while she had numerous plans, none of them turned out to be successful in her favor.

But both the Leftovers alliance members and the audience had made up their minds. Jasmine had been steadfastly opposed to Taylor from the start of the competition, therefore they advised that she put her up for elimination. But Taylor made it clear that she wouldn’t evict another Black woman.
The Big Brother Leftovers Alliance members supported her decision and agreed with it, although they still believed Jasmine should be the one to go this week. The contestants believed that their alliance would be much stronger after Jasmine’s eviction and that they could keep it that way until they made it to the Top 7 by consisting entirely of alliance members.
In a confessional, Monte admitted that if Jasmine had won the title of Head of Household (HoH), she would not have hesitated to put Taylor up for vote and boot her from the competition. He continued to appreciate Taylor’s choice.

The current Big Brother HoH was still on the fence about not evicting Jasmine. After some consideration, she decided to follow her instinct and support Terrance and Indy. Taylor acknowledged making a pledge to herself before entering the house that she wouldn’t put another black woman up for eviction.
Taylor placed Terrance and Indy up for nomination at the ceremony. Although she admitted to Indy that they hadn’t gotten along, her clear intention was to evict Terrace after learning of his conspiracy with Daniel to harm her in the previous episode.
Fans are disappointed with HoH Taylor’s selection at the nomination event
Fans expressed their dissatisfaction on social media because they didn’t believe Taylor would stand up to Jasmine.

One of THE DUMBEST things you can do is to not nominate someone because of their color or gender. When you are in a position of authority, using emotion instead of reason will always result in failure. Jasmine treated you like garbage and still does. #BigBrotherUS #BigBrother #BigBrother24

Taylor is currently truly driving me crazy with her senseless decisions; she deserves to be eliminated from this season due to her idiocy. Big Brother 24, Big Brother 24, and BB24

Ok, I understand the hesitation to feature another black woman. Taylor, though, do you really believe Jasmine would have the same opinion? Big Brother 24 (#bb24)

What’s coming up?
It is obvious who Taylor’s goal is after she won the Head of Household (HoH) competition and nominated Terrance and Indy for eviction. But it will be intriguing to see how her choice during the nomination ceremony will fair with her fellow cast members given the upcoming double eviction twist.
Big Brother will air a brand-new episode on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 8:00 PM ET on CBS.
