Rhea Seehorn has been nominated for an Emmy for her role in the Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul, just before the last episode of the show airs.
People often say that good things come to those who wait, and Rhea Seehorn, who stars in the show Better Call Saul, is the latest person to get something good for being patient.
Rhea, who fans know better as Kim Wexler, has been nominated for an Emmy for “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.” If she wins, she could leave the show with an Emmy in her hand.
RHEA SEEHORN’S EMMY AWARDS FORTUNES CHANGE
Even though Rhea has been in the hugely popular show Better Call Saul since it started in 2015, the Television Academy has never given her an award for her work.
As the sixth and last season of Better Call Saul comes to a close, the show has been nominated for 46 Emmys, with Rhea only getting her dues now.
During that time, her co-star Bob Odenkirk got six Emmy nominations for “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series” for his role as Jimmy McGill, but he hasn’t won one yet.
Even though it took her a long time to win an Emmy, it looks like 2022 will be her year, as it turns out she’s up for more than one.
Rhea is also nominated for “Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series” for her role as Kris in the AMC show Cooper’s Bar.
An old saying says that when you wait seven years for an Emmy nomination, you get two at once.
RHEA’S CO-STAR BOB ODENKIRK LEADS HOMAGE PAYMENTS
Fans of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are some of the most dedicated TV fans out there, so when Kim Wexler was nominated for an Emmy, it was a pretty big deal.
But her on-screen partner, Bob Odenkirk, was the one who gave the most praise. He was quick to tweet about how happy he was for Rhea: “It’s hard to put into words how happy and excited I am for Rhea. It’s the cherry on top of a wonderful morning. Thanks to everyone for the good vibes all year long.”
Even though Rhea has been nominated for two Emmys, she is going to have a hard time at the awards.
There are some pretty big names among the eight actresses up for the Supporting Drama award.
Julia Garner, who plays Ruth Langmore in Ozark, and J. Smith-Cameron and Sarah Snook, who play Gerri Kellman and Shiv Roy in Succession, both have roles that are similar to hers as Wexler.
Not to mention that Jung Ho-Yeon is in it. In Netflix’s smash hit Squid Game, he played Kang Sae-Byeok, who was both scary and cute.
No matter what happens, Rhea will be with other well-known people at the 2022 Emmy Awards.
