Glenn Paul Blodgett spent his childhood in Spearman, Texas, a small town located towards the top of the Texas Panhandle. There, Glenn’s father worked the land as a rancher and farmer.
He wed his high school girlfriend Karen Wright, who attended the competing school in the neighbouring town of Gruver, and the two Blodgetts went on to receive their bachelor’s degrees from Oklahoma State University. Glenn continued his education at Texas A&M, where he received his veterinary degree.

He is now regarded as an exceptional graduate by both of his alma maters. Glenn and Karen have been together for over 50 years, and they have two children: Buffie Guynes, who has been married to Michael and has three daughters named Catherine, Rebecca, and Clair; Brandie Mustain, who has been married to Mike and has a son named Maddox and a daughter named Myla.
Dr. Blodgett has been honoured as the horse practitioner of the year by the Texas Veterinary Medical Association in addition to serving on the board of directors of the American Association of Equine Practitioners.

Dr. Blodgett, who is also a member of the Texas Horse Racing Hall of Fame, was appointed to the first Texas Horse Racing Commission in 1988. During his time on the commission, he was honoured with the Joan Pew Award, which is given to the racing commissioner of the year, by the Association of Racing Commissioners International.
Dr. Blodgett continued to commit the same amount of time and effort to AQHA. In 1991, he was elected to the board of directors, and in 2011, he was promoted to the position of director-at-large.

Dr. Glenn Blodgett: 6666 Ranch’s Owner
Taylor Sheridan, an American screenwriter who was born and raised in Texas, is the new owner of the storied 6666 Ranch. Samuel “Burk” Burnett established the property in the 1800s, and its rich history can be traced back to that time.
According to the listing for the site, Samuel gave the property its name in honour of the “6666” herd, which was the first herd he bred on the area.
However, another version of the folklore states that the creator of the ranch won it by scoring four sixes in a game of cards, which is how the ranch got its name.
Sheridan’s neo-Western drama Yellowstone spin-off series draws inspiration from the historic ranch, but the property offers much more than that.
The new development is the third planned spin-off that will come from this. In addition to this, it takes place in modern day on the ranch known as Texas Four Sixes.
