Clary Fairchild and Jace Wayland: Are They Related? Bio, Wiki, Age, Career and More
Shadowhunter Clarissa “Clary” Adele Fairchild, popularly known as Clary Fray, is the daughter of Jocelyn Fray and the infamous Valentine Morgenstern.
Her real name is Clarissa “Clary” Adele Fairchild. Clary and Jocelyn led a routine life for many years until Clary’s father and Jonathan’s return introduced them to a new world.
This event threw Clary and Jocelyn’s lives into chaos, and Clary found herself embarking on a journey with her fellow Shadowhunters to put an end to the threat posed by Clary’s family and brother.
As a consequence of her father’s experimentation, Clary contains a greater quantity of angel blood than other Shadowhunters do, and as a consequence of this, she has the capacity to recall potent, old runes that are not recorded in the Gray Book.

Is Jace Really Clary’s Brother?
At last, Magnus wakes Clary’s mother Jocelyn, who informs Clary that Jace is not her brother.
Her real brother is Jonathan Morgenstern, who has, this whole time, pretended to be Sebastian.
It is soon revealed that Sebastian is a spy for Valentine and that he tried to seduce Clary into teaming up with him.
Clary Fairchild: Bio
Memories of Clary when she was younger, just before Magnus stole them.
She was born at some point after her brother Jonathan Christopher, who everyone thought had died in a fire along with her father, although no one knows exactly when.
Her mother had to leave her life as a Shadowhunter behind when she went into hiding and fled to New York before she gave birth to her daughter.
When Clary was younger, she and her mother were at a park when they narrowly escaped being attacked by a demon.
However, they were rescued by their mother. After the event, Jocelyn hurried her to the warlock Magnus Bane and requested that he erase all memories of the Shadow World from her head.
Magnus Bane complied with her request. Clary was misled by Jocelyn for a number of years into believing that Jonathan Clark was her biological father.
She had her first encounter with a boy named Simon Lewis while she was in the first grade at school.
Clay caused him to have an allergic reaction, and Clary immediately went to obtain help for him from the nurse. They got along so well and became great friends that they were hardly ever apart from one another.
Clary’s 18th birthday celebrations began in 2016 with an appointment at the Brooklyn Academy of Art for an interview.
Clary was successful in getting into the advanced programme for which she had applied, and she attributes her success to the graphic novel illustrations she did not submit with her application.
Clary Fairchild: Career
Clary has her first successful battle against a demon.
In the later hours of that day, Clary went to the Pandemonium and ran across a number of Shadowhunters there, including Magnus Bane, whom she only fleetingly and erroneously recalled.
She ran home after the fight she saw at the club, telling Jocelyn about it, and Jocelyn finally started to tell her that she was a Shadowhunter. The fight had left her feeling terrified.
At that very moment, members of the Circle arrived, compelling Jocelyn and Dot to take some kind of action.
Clary was transported to the New York Police Department’s 89th Precinct by Jocelyn, who fastened a necklace around Clary’s neck before sending her through a Portal.
Once there, Clary met Luke, a close friend of Jocelyn’s who also served as a father figure to Clary.
However, while Clary was at the station, she overheard a conversation between Luke and two other persons in which Luke stated that he did not care about either Clary or her mother, which came as a huge shock to Clary.
She hastened back to her house only to discover that Jocelyn had vanished, and while she was there, a demon disguised as Dot attacked her.
The demon was successful in inflicting terrible injuries on Clary and infecting her with demon poison.
It was just in the nick of time when Jace, one of the Shadowhunters from the club, arrived to save her.
Clary was so overcome by the poison that she passed out, and Jace had to carry her back to the New York Institute so that she could recover there.
Upon awakening, she found herself in the company of Isabelle and Alec Lightwood, the latter of whom voiced his suspicions about her right away.
Jace briefed her on the fundamentals, informing her that they, including herself, were Shadowhunters, which are humans who are part-angel and whose job is to protect the human race from demons as well as the existence of other beings described in myths.
In addition to learning that she was a Nephilim, she was informed by the trainer at the Institute and former member of the Circle Hodge Starkweather that her mother had also been a member of the Circle in the past.
The Circle was the organisation that was led by Valentine Morgenstern and was responsible for her kidnapping.
As soon as they understood that the individuals who kidnapped Jocelyn were searching for a powerful tool called as the Mortal Cup, they collaborated with Clary in an effort to retrieve it before Valentine or the people from Downworld could locate it.
Clary continued to maintain her concentration on finding Jocelyn, even though the people who were assisting her were mostly concerned with protecting the Cup.

Jace Wayland: Who Is He?
Jonathan Christopher “Jace” Herondale is a legendary figure in both the Mortal and Dark wars, and he is widely regarded as the most skilled Shadowhunter of his generation.
Together with his future wife, Clary Fairchild, who he is engaged to, he presently serves as a co-head of the New York Institute.
Jace Wayland: Bio
Jace Wayland, whose birth name was Jonathan Christopher Morgenstern, is a narcissistic, lethally handsome, driven, and talented Shadowhunter.
He is also a skilled soldier in a fight against demons. Jace was born Jonathan Christopher Morgenstern.
After being given the impression that his father had been murdered, Jace has made it his purpose in life to exact vengeance on those who are responsible for his father’s death.
He was given the impression that he was the son of Michael Wayland, the person Valentine pretended to be when he was younger, and that his mother had passed away when he was a young child.
When Valentine was ten years old, he pretended to die, which led the younger version of Jace to believe that he had been slain by Valentine and in part due to the Uprising of the Circle.
After that, the Lightwood family took Jace in as their own child, and he was later brought up at the New York Institute together with other Shadowhunters.
Since then, he and the children of the Lightwood have come to think of each other in the same way as siblings.
Jace Wayland: Personal Life
Jace is a natural-born leader and is Alec’s second-in-command whenever they are on a mission together with Isabelle and are working with the Shadowhunters.
Jace is seen as narcissistic, handsome, and determined, and he is an experienced Shadowhunter.
Jace is a stubborn individual who frequently chooses to act first and then ask for permission later.
He has an unwavering commitment to his allies and will do whatever in his power to support and rescue them in a time of need.
As the adoptive son of Maryse and Robert, he has an intense love for his adoptive family, particularly his adoptive siblings Alec and Isabelle, whom he is known to be rather protective of.
He also has a great loyalty to his adoptive parents. However, it would appear that Jace, much like the majority of others of his type, considers love and affections to be a distraction from their purpose; despite this, he is not wholly opposed to the idea.
The most of the time, Jace is sardonic and humorous, but he also has a temper, as demonstrated in his ongoing confrontations with Alec. Jace can also be impatient and quickly agitated, notably by Simon, who he simply cannot get along with.
Jace Wayland: Skills and Abilities
• Nephilim physiology: Being Nephilim, Jace possesses a variety of enhanced physical and mental abilities granted to him by the angel blood of Raziel in his veins and also by the angelic Marks of the Gray Book. This includes enhanced strength, speed, agility, stamina, and coordination, which has improved over time and practice.
• The Sight: As a Shadowhunter, Jace is able to easily see through most magical illusions and layers of glamour over reality.
• Use of heavenly weapons: As a Nephilim, Jace is also able to handle heavenly weapons, such as seraph blades, with effect that would normally not work for other species.
• Expert hand-to-hand combatant: Jace is highly skilled in armed/unarmed combat.
• Runic magic: Due to the angel blood in their veins, all Shadowhunters are all able to apply runes on their skin without any real danger. These Marks, in turn, give varied effects that serve to benefit the wearer.
• Parabatai bond: Due to his parabatai with Alec, Jace is able to call on more strength in battle and for certain spells. The runes drawn on him by or shared with Alec also give a considerably stronger effect.
Jace Wayland: Possessions
- Morgenstern family ring: Being brought up under Valentine’s care, Jace owned a Morgenstern ring as a child but believed for years that it was a Wayland family ring. Upon finding out that it was in fact a Morgenstern ring, he began wearing it on his neck but has since given the ring, along with the chain, to Clary Fray.
- Herondale family ring: When Jace finally took the family name, his ancestor Tessa gave him a family ring that once belonged to her son, James Herondale. He later passed this on to Kit Herondale as he plans to have a ring that will incorporate the Lightwood symbol, an etching of a blaze of fire, on the inside.[21][22]
- Daggers and swords: Aside from seraph blades, Jace has also used daggers and swords in battle.
- Other basic Shadowhunter gear, including: a Sensor, steles, seraph blades, and witchlight.
- Engagement sword: A sword given to him by Clary as part of her proposal to him. The blade has a pattern of flying herons and a crosspiece in the shape of wings. On the reverse side it is etched with the words “Visne me in matrimonium ducere?” (Latin for “Will you marry me?”)
- Engagement ring: A ring that matches the ring he gave Clary. The rings are made from adamas and have the inscription: L’amor che move il sole e l’altre stelle (Italian for “the love that moves the sun and the other stars”).
