Chris Jericho hasn’t been in the ring for a long time, so his family and daughters aren’t too excited about his return. Jericho, a big name in AEW, is respected all over the world of pro wrestling.
He has been in the wrestling business for a long time, and he plans to keep doing it for the near future. He has been good for the business as a whole and has always helped bring pro-wrestlers who deserve more attention to the forefront.
Jericho is the only person who has ever held both the WWE and NJPW Intercontinental Championships at the same time. Nine times, he has won the Intercontinental Championship.
Chris Jericho is a father to three kids
Chris Jericho’s girlfriend, Jessica Lockhart, and he have three kids.
Ash Edward Irvine was born in 2003. He is the couple’s first child. Jericho and his wife had Sierra Loretta Irvine and Cheyenne Lee Irvine in 2006. He has had all three of his children as guests on his podcast, which is called “Talk is Jericho,” more than once.
Because Ash knows so much about fish, he usually talks about them when he’s on Jericho’s podcast. His kid says that when he grows up, he wants to be an ichthyologist, which is a scientist who studies sharks and fish. Ash has shown up on Shark Week more than once.
The twin daughters of Chris Jericho had a YouTube channel
Sisi and Chey, who are Jericho’s daughters, used to run a YouTube channel together. It was called Sisi & Chey Vlogs & Videos.
They put up some pretty amazing videos and vlogs on it. They put up a whole series of fake movies, all of which deserve a lot more views than they have now. It looks like they don’t have that YouTube channel anymore.
After watching a few Minecraft videos and mod shows, Sisi and Chey decided they wanted to start their own YouTube channel so they could share their creations with the world. Their dad talked with them about the channel for his Talk is Jericho podcast.
Before they advertised the channel on Jericho’s podcast, there were only 39 people who watched it. After the promotion, though, that number jumped like a rocket to almost 1,000, which made them very happy about what was happening.
None of the kids have said that they want to work in sports or entertainment in some way in the future.
The kids in Jericho love Star Wars a lot
Like a lot of other families, the Irvines are closer because of their love of Star Wars.
In December 2016, after The Force Awakens came out, Ash, Sisi, and Chey all went on Talk is Jericho to talk about the movie as a family. Sisi, his daughter, said that the movie had a lot of exciting action scenes and that it was really cool how they brought back some of the old characters.
In her article about Chey, she gave the movie a perfect score. She said the movie was almost as good as the cheese, but the cheese is better than the movie.
Chey did have a few problems with the movie, though. One of them was that Ben Solo didn’t look like his parents, Han Solo and Leia Organa. Every member of the family thought it was strange that Kylo Ren kept taking off his mask throughout the movie.
Chris Jericho’s favorite part was chasing after Rathtar, while Ash’s favorite part was when they went to Maz’s castle. The kids don’t just watch movies because they don’t care.
Ash was able to figure out how old Chewbacca was between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, which shows that Jericho’s kids know what they’re talking about.
The kids in Jericho don’t like wrestling
Even though Chris Jericho is one of the most famous wrestlers in the world, his kids are not very interested in the sport.
Ash said in an interview that the only time he watches the sport is when his father is playing, and that he doesn’t really want to make a career out of it. Jericho also said that his children get very upset when he loses, which may be one reason why they aren’t interested in the competition as a whole.
Jericho also said that even though he is famous all over the world, he is known as “dad” at home, and his children see the WWE as just the place where their father works.
Jericho did not fully understand what it meant that his father was the famous hockey player Ted Irvine when he was growing up, so he could relate to what his kids were saying.
He is married to Jessica Lockhart, who is a wrestler
Chris Jericho has been married to Jessica Lockhart since 2000, and they have been very happy.
Thanks to WCW wrestler Disco Inferno, the two met in Tampa, Florida. Jericho was working for World Championship Wrestling at the time. In the book A Lion’s Tale, Chris Jericho talks about what happened in the days after he saw Jessica Lockhart for the first time.
He said that Lockhart had to leave the day after they met because he had to go on a three-week trip to northern Minnesota. Even so, they kept doing what they always did and talked on the phone every day. On the basis of this, they first started talking to each other.
After she got back from Minnesota, they decided to start living together as a couple. Since then, the relationship has grown stronger and stronger.
His wife doesn’t like being in the public eye, so she does everything she can to raise their kids out of the spotlight.
Chris Jericho has a tattoo on his ring finger that is an homage to and a dedication to his wife. During an interview, he said that he broke his wedding band all the time, which made it very hard for him to put it on and take it off.
The winner of AEW was the son of an ice hockey player
Chris Jericho was born to Ted Irvine, a Canadian, and Loretta Vivian Irvine, an American.
He was born in the New York city of Manhasset. Ted Irvine, his father, was a hockey player for the New York Rangers. The Rangers had a player named Ted Irvine. When his father stopped working, the family moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba.
As a child, Jericho would often go to the American Wrestling Association (AWA) to watch wrestling matches. He was already interested in the business at this point, but he decided he would rather work in professional wrestling.
Especially when Owen Hart came with Stampede Wrestling and did some high-flying moves, he realized that professional wrestling was something he was interested in.
Vanessa Gerads, who works in the field of music education, is the sister of the star of AEW.
Early years
Christopher Keith Irvine was born on November 9, 1970, in Manhasset, New York. He is the son of a Canadian father and American mother. From his father’s side, he comes from Scotland, and from his mother’s side, he comes from Ukraine. At the time Jericho was born, his father, ice hockey player Ted Irvine, was playing for the New York Rangers. His family moved back to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where Irvine grew up, when his father retired. He is a citizen of both the United States and Canada. Irvine became interested in professional wrestling when he and his family started going to American Wrestling Association (AWA) matches at the Winnipeg Arena. He wanted to become a professional wrestler after seeing a video of Owen Hart, who was wrestling for Stampede Wrestling at the time, doing some high-flying moves. Irvine also said that Owen’s older brother Bret, Ricky Steamboat, and Shawn Michaels were some of the reasons he wanted to become a professional wrestler. His first time working with a professional wrestling promotion was when he was part of the ring crew for the first tour of the newly opened Keystone Wrestling Alliance. There, he met independent wrestlers Catfish Charlie and Caveman Broda, who taught him a lot about the business. He went to Red River College in Winnipeg and got a diploma in Creative Communications in the year 1990.
Career in professional wrestling
At age 19, he went to the Hart Brothers School of Wrestling. On his first day, he met Lance Storm. Ed Langley and a wrestler from Calgary named Brad Young helped him get ready.
Two months after he finished training, he was ready to start wrestling on independent shows. On October 2, 1990, as “Cowboy” Chris Jericho, he made his debut at the Moose Hall in Ponoka, Alberta, in a ten-minute draw against Storm. The two then started working together as a tag team called Sudden Impact. In a February 2019 interview with Rich Eisen on The Rich Eisen Show, Jericho said that his first name was going to be “Jack Action.” However, someone told him that the name was stupid, so when they asked him what his real name was, he got nervous and said “Chris Jericho.” He got the name Jericho from an album by the German power metal band Helloween called Walls of Jericho. Tony Condello sent Jericho and Storm to Northern Manitoba on tours with Adam Copeland (Edge), Jason Reso (Christian), and Terry Gerin (Rhino). They also wrestled in Calgary’s Canadian National Wrestling Alliance (CNWA) and Canadian Rocky Mountain Wrestling (CRMW).
Wrestling in the frontier martial arts (1991)
In 1991, Jericho and Storm went on tour in Japan as Sudden Impact for Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling. There, he met Ricky Fuji, who also trained under Stu Hart, and they became friends.
Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre and other Mexican events (1992–1995)
In the winter of 1992, he went to Mexico and wrestled under the names Leon D’Oro (“Golden Lion,” a name fans chose for him between “He-Man,” “Chris Power,” and his own choice, “Leon D’Oro”) and later Corazón de León (“Lion Heart”) for several small wrestling companies.
From 1993 to 1995, he took part in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, the oldest wrestling event in Mexico (CMLL). In CMLL, Jericho fought Silver King, Negro Casas, and ltimo Dragón on his way to becoming the NWA Middleweight Champion, which he did in December 1993 and held for eleven months.
Wrestling in the Smoky Mountains (1994)
In 1994, Jericho and Storm worked together again as The Thrillseekers in Jim Cornette’s Appalachian Smoky Mountain Wrestling (SMW) promotion. There, they had fights with people like Well Dunn, The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, and The Heavenly Bodies.
