Chris Chan’s Early Life
Between 2007 and 2021, Christine Chandler developed into a well-known online personality. CWCki
Christine Chandler, also known online as Chris Chan, was detained on August 1 and charged with incest when it was revealed that she had intercourse with her mother, 79, in a leaked phone call.
Since 2007 when readers of her comic Sonichu, a hybrid between Pikachu and Sonic the Hedgehog, became aware of it on the off-limits discussion forum 4chan, Chandler’s life and, by extension, that of her mother, have been extensively documented.
Since then, trolls have been following Chandler’s online activity as well as her offline activities by filming, doxxing, hacking, and in some cases, even by pretending to be potential romantic interests.
Since 2009, the enormous knowledge that trolls possess of Chandler and her mother has been documented on a special Wiki, CWCki. It is thought that the person who allegedly had the phone call with Chandler had the goal of exposing their chat on sites like Kiwi Farms. She is frequently contacted by undercover trolls for this reason.
The statement read, “Ms. Chandler’s regular and occasionally excessive online presence is partially a function of mental health concerns generating erroneous attention seeking and frequently provocative engagement with people.”

Chandler’s relationship with her mother has been constantly questioned by trolls who followed Chandler’s life on CWCki and later on Kiwi Farms. Many posts on Kiwi Farms and stories on CWCki have made fun of Chandler for calling her mother by nicknames like “darling” and “dear.”
After assaulting a worker at a video game store the year before, Chandler and her mother appeared in court on October 15, 2015. Some of Chandler’s trolls went to the hearing in person to report back to CWCki, as was typical for many of them at the time.
One of these purported attendees was a Chandler troll by the name of “Marvin,” also known as the “Man in the Pickle Suit,” who later posted comments on Chandler and her mother’s interactions during the hearing. Marvin manages the CWCki database of Chandler data (which continues to exist independently from Kiwi Farms, the forum that was derived from the CWCki topic), but he has chosen to remain anonymous.
Chandler claimed in a Facebook post from August 2016 that she fantasized about having sex with her mother.
In August of the following year, 2016, Chandler posted a Facebook status defending a mother and son in Mexico who had allegedly declared their love, as was at the time covered by the Daily Mail.
Despite the fact that incest is a contentious subject, she claimed there were situations in which there wouldn’t be as much harm as one could think, feel, or believe.

A person claiming to be Chandler provided explicit details about alleged assaults on her 79-year-old mother in the allegedly recorded phone call, claiming that they had been happening three times each week since late June.
The texts also alluded to Chandler’s mother’s purported “memory issues.”
The hacked text messages and phone call went public on social media the same day, and Chandler started to trend internationally on Twitter.
YouTuber Dillin Thomas, who had previously created material on Chandler, later released screenshots of what they claimed to be a conversation they had with Chandler in which the man posing as Chandler seemed to validate the claims.
The following day, Chandler tweeted: “There is drama in the air. Everyone among you is urged to stay away from any and all dramas, rumors, and other things that will or have already come your way today.
In response to claims of “sex offenses against a family member,” Chandler was charged with one count of incest, according to a statement from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia on Monday.
Chandler’s arrest, according to the news release, was a result of “an ongoing investigation with additional charges pending.”
On August 2, a police officer informed Insider that no court date or bond had been issued. There was no more information in the court files as of Wednesday.
In Virginia, having sex with one’s father or mother is a Class 5 felony that carries a maximum ten-year jail sentence.
On August 1, officers transported Chandler into the Henrico County Jail in Virginia, where she was initially detained. Later, an insider verified that Chandler had been transferred to the Central Virginia Regional Jail.

In a 2017 public Facebook post, Chandler identified as a woman and stated that the pronoun “she” was the appropriate one to use. She has discussed her transition in YouTube videos as well. She legally changed her name to Christine in May 2016, according to court documents that Insider has access to.
According to Insider, Chandler’s gender was changed from female to male on the VINE custody request system, which disseminates jail and prison records to the public, on Thursday morning. The modification was not explained by the jail.
