Q.2      How the Admission will take place in medical and dental courses?

Ans.     Admission in medical and dental courses will take place as under.

·         85% Seats of Government colleges and 75% Seats of self finance colleges of medical and dental course will be filled by Central Admission Committee by applying 60% marks of theory of physics, biology & chemistry obtained in 12th  standard or equivalent exam and 40% marks of GUJCET.

·         15% Seats of Government medical and dental colleges will be filled by Central Government (DGHS) as per merit on the basis of NEET 2016.

·         15% seats of NRI quota of self finance colleges has been cancelled as per the notification no 2 of 2016 of Government of Gujarat, dated: 10th June 2016.

·         25% seats of management quota of self finance colleges of medical and dental course will be filled by the single consortium by a single window system on the basis of inter-se merit list on the basis of NEET 2016.

Q.4      How the Admission will take place in paramedical courses?

Ans.     Admission in paramedical courses will take place as under.

·         100% Seats of Government and Grant in Aid colleges and 75% Seats of self finance colleges of paramedical courses will be filled by Central Admission Committee by applying 60% marks of theory of physics, biology & chemistry obtained in 12th  standard or equivalent exam and 40% marks of GUJCET.

·         25% seats of management quota of self finance colleges of Paramedical courses will be filled by the respective consortium by applying 60% marks of theory of physics, biology & chemistry obtained in 12th  standard or equivalent exam and 40% marks of GUJCET.

Q. 6     Can I apply for BSc Nursing & Diploma Nursing Courses (General Nursing and Midwifery/Auxillary Nursing and Midwifery)in same application form?

Ans.     No. There is separate admission committee for BSc Nursing and Diploma Nursing Courses (General Nursing and Midwifery/Auxillary Nursing and Midwifery). You need to apply separately for Diploma Nursing Courses (General Nursing and Midwifery/Auxillary Nursing and Midwifery).

Q. 7     What is the procedure for admission in Management Quota and NRI Quota?

Ans.     Students who wish to apply for Management Quota must contact the consortium of concern courses. For more information visit www.medadmbjmc.in or read the Information Booklet. NRI Quota has been removed by Health and Family Welfare Department Government of Gujarat by Gujarat ordinance no.2 of 2016, dated 10th June 2016.

Q.9      Where and how I can process for Online Form Registration?

Ans.     PIN number & Information booklet will be available within stipulated time from Axis bank   

            Branches as decided by ACPMEC by paying 180 Rs.

OR

PIN number & Information booklet will be available online on website www.medguj.nic.in  by paying 180 Rs.

      List of Axis bank branches is available on website.

      Student himself can do online form registration at any place where internet facility available. or Student can do online form registration at Help centre at free of cost

Q. 11   What if I lost PIN?

Ans.     If you lost your PIN then you need to visit Central Control Room (CCR) Admission Committee office at B J Medical College, Ahmedabad. There are no alternatives. Nothing can be done at Help Centres or Helpline numbers.

Q. 12   Which are the documents required during online application?

Ans.     While you are applying online, please keep following documents with you

-          Standard 12th (HSC) Mark sheet (Showing all 4 semester marks) for Gujarat Board

-          Standard 12th Mark sheet for Central Board and ISCE

-          Standard 10th (SSC) Mark sheet

-          GUJCET- 2016 Mark Sheet

-          School Leaving Certificate (if the certificate doesn’t show “Birth Place” then Birth Certificate)

-          Caste certificate for SC, ST & SEBC category applicants

-          Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (obtained after 01-04-2016) for SEBC Category applicants

-          Physically Handicapped Certificate from Government Hospital

-          Income Certificate for SC & ST category applicant

-          Certificate from Dean, NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad, if applying for Local Quota in Ahmedabad

-          Certificate from Dean, Surat Municipal Medical College, Surat, if applying for Local Quota in Surat

 

Q.13    how one can get help in case having difficulty during online form registration?

Ans.     Student can get help from committee Helpline numbers. Helpline numbers will be available on www.medadmbjmc.in . Student can also get help from nearby Help centre

 

Q.14 when the online registration process will be confirmed?

Ans

      After filling “Registration details” you have to click on “I Accept  button then “Submit” button will appear.

      After clicking “Submit  button all filled details will be displayed.

      If any corrections are required then student can correct by clicking on “Edit Registration details”.

       After editing, the candidate has to verify the details entered and if every detail found correct, click “Confirm Registration Details” button.

      After that you have to print “Registration details receipt”

      After this No changes to registration details will be allowed by student.

 

Form & Document Verification

Q.15    After confirm registration is it necessary to go to help centre?

Ans.     Yes, if mentioned in Registration details receipt,  Student has to verify their original documents & submit photocopy at nearest Help centre.

Student has to correct any mismatch/incompleteness found during form & document verification then only his/her registration process will be considered as complete.

Q.16    how one can correct if any falls information is filled during online registration?

Ans.     Students’ “Personal details” related correction can be done at Help centre by providing necessary proof.

      Students’ PIN, Marks, Merit related correction can be done at CCR (Central Controlling Room), by providing necessary proof.

Q.17    What are the subsequent process after online form registration?

Ans.     After Online form Registration following process will be done.

Q.18    How the Merit list is going to be Prepared?

Ans.     Merit list will be prepared by calculating Merit marks as follow.

      Convert obtained theory marks of physics, biology & chemistry in to 100 %. Then convert into 60% marks.

      Convert obtained marks of GUJCET 2016 in to 100 %. Then convert into 40% marks.

      Make the total of above mentioned PCB’s 60% & GUJCET’s 40% marks. This is your Merit marks.

Depending upon this merit marks Merit list is being prepared.

 

Q. 19   How do I know about Merit List?

Ans.     After the last date of application process, the committee will make Merit List and will be available on www.medadmbjmc.in. Students need to check the website regularly for Merit List availability. Student can view his merit number after entering his GUJCET 2016 seat number.

Q. 20   Is the Merit List common for different “Education Board” and “Category”?

Ans.     No, The Merit List is separate for Gujarat Board, Central Board and ISCE Board. Also each board will have separate Merit List for “General”, “EWS”, “SC”, “ST” and “SEBC” category and also for PH.

 

Admission Process in Person

Q.21    What are the Prerequisite for Admission?

Ans.     Prerequisite for Admission (all condition must be fulfilled)

            - Students who have studied in the school which is located in Gujarat

            - Students who have passed 12th Science (HSC) with “AB” or “B” group subjects

            - Students who have appeared in GUJCET – 2016

-Students must be Indian Citizen

-Student must have completed 17 years on or before 31/12/2016.

- Students who passed 12th Standard from Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya (JNV) school situated outside Gujarat but studied upto VIII standard in JNV school located in Gujarat and appeared in GUJCET-2016

- Student who passed 12th standard from school situated outside Gujarat and appeared in GUJCET-2016

1.      - All India service officer (viz. IPS, IAS,IFS) allotted to Gujarat State

      and serving outside the Gujarat State on deputation.

2.      Gujarat Govt. servants who have been posted outside the Gujarat State for

     administrative reasons. Son and Daughter of IAS, IPS and IFS

In Following cases candidate is not eligible for admission.

     A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination after appearing in the supplementary examination in July 2016 conducted by the Board shall not be eligible for admission in the current academic year.

     A candidate who has secured admission under these rules in any year shall not be eligible for further admission to any course until the period within which he/she might have completed the course in which he has secured admission.

 

Q. 22   Can a student with citizenship other than “Indian” apply through online application process?

Ans.     Students with Citizenship other than Indian can apply online for admission but they are not eligible for admission. To be eligible to get admission they have to apply for Indian Citizenship and submit those document at CCR before generation of merit list. and get it before 31st July, 2017 otherwise their admission will be cancelled.

 

Q.23    What are the minimum eligibility criteria for Admission?

Ans.     a. For Medical and Dental Courses (MBBS and BDS) and Ayurveda (BAMS) :

(Physics, Chemistry and Biology)

(i)     For General Category candidates including EWS   :           50 %

(EWS means Unreserved Economically weaker section as notified by GOG on 06/05/2016)

(i a) For Physically Disabled Candidate      :                       45 %

               belonging to General Category

(ii)   For candidate belongs to Schedule Castes,             :                       40%

Scheduled Tribes, Socially and Educationally

Backward Classes (Excluding creamy layer)

including Physically Disabled candidates of

all respective categories

b. For B.Sc. Nursing Courses:

(Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English)

(i)   For General Category candidate including EWS       :                       45%

                        And Physically Disabled Candidate  

                  (ii)  For candidate belongs to Schedule Castes,    :                       40%

Scheduled Tribes, Socially and Educationally

Backward Classes (Excluding creamy layer)

including Physically Disabled candidates of

all respective categories

c. For Homeopathy / Naturopathy / Physiotherapy / Orthotics and Prosthetics / Optometry / Audiology and Speech Language Pathology and Occupational Therapy Courses: (Physics, Chemistry and Biology)

(i)                 For candidates belonging to all categories         :           Pass

(3) The minimum percentage of aggregate marks obtained in Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) for candidates shall be as follows, namely:-

a. For Medical and Dental Courses (MBBS and BDS) :

(i) For General Category candidates including EWS:            50%

(i a) For Physically Disabled Candidate         :           45%

belonging to General Category

(ii) For Schedule Castes, Scheduled Tribes,   :           40%

Socially and Educationally Backward Classes

(Excluding Creamy layer) including Physically

Disabled candidates of all respective categories

b. For other Courses (other than the Medical and Dental courses):

The candidate shall have appeared in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) of the current academic year.

 

Q.24    Is it necessary to have Sanskrit subject  in 10th  or 12th  standard for admission in BAMS (Ayurveda) course? 

Ans.     Sanskrit subject was compulsory  in 10th  or 12th  standard for admission in BAMS (Ayurveda) course but as per the ordinance of Gujarat ayurveda university now Sanskrit is not necessary for admission in BAMS  for academic year 2016-2017.

Q.25    How the admission process will be carried out?

Ans.    

     Detailed Admission program will be published in widely circulated Newspapers & ACPMEC website www.medadmbjmc.in.

     Students have to remain present with original documents & Rs. 15,000/- cash as token fee at their own expenses on given date & time according to their merit number at ACPMEC, B.J.Medical collge, Ahmedabad.

     If candidate cannot remain present at the time of counselling his parent/guardian can participate in counselling program at ACPMEC with Photo ID & Authority letter as available in ACPMEC website www.medadmbjmc.in.

Q.26    How the admission will be given?

Ans.

     Admission will be allotted on the basis of Merit number after verifying original documents in person.

     Admission order will be given only after paying Rs. 15,000 cash as token fee in Axis bank branch located at ACPMEC.

 

 

Reporting Process

Q.27    what is the procedure after taking the admission?

Ans.    

     After receiving Admission order, student should pay remaining fee (if applicable) within stipulated time decided by ACPMEC in designated branches of Axis bank.

     After receiving Admission order, student should report their admitted college within stipulated time decided by ACPMEC.

Q.28    What happens if i do not report in time at concerned admitted college?

Ans.     After taking admission student must have to report in time at concerned admitted college otherwise his/her admission will be cancelled.

 

Cancelation of Admitted Branch

Q.29    What is the procedure to cancel the admission?

Ans.    

     If candidate want to cancel his admission then he has to visit in person at ACPMEC with original admission order & all the fee receipt within stipulated time decided by ACPMEC.

     No admission shall be cancelled after completion of last round of admission counselling process by ACPMEC.

     If student cancel his admission at institute level then such student shall be liable for future consequences, ACPMEC is not liable for it.

 

Reshuffling Process  

Q.30    What is the procedure to change the admitted branch?

Ans.    

     Detailed Reshuffling program will be published in widely circulated Newspapers & ACPMEC website www.medadmbjmc.in.

     All students can participate in reshuffling program. They have to remain present at given date & time according to their merit number at ACPMEC, B.J.Medical College, Ahmedabad.

     Candidate shall not be offered admission on the seats which were available to him in previous rounds of admission counselling even though that seats are remain vacant.

     If Candidate reshuffles his admission, they have to collect new admission order & Fee receipt during reshuffling process.

     Candidate who will be allotted admission first time during reshuffling process have to pay Rs. 15,000 token fee in bank branch located at ACPMEC. Admission order will be given only after paying fees.

 

Fee Refund

Q.31    does the fees paid is refundable in case of cancelation or change in the admitted branch?

Ans.     Yes,

     If candidate cancels the admission then complete fees paid will be refunded.

     If the candidate change the admission then the difference of fees paid if found appropriate will be refunded.

     Fee refund process will start after completion of admission process.
